The “Delphian” namesake is drawn from the ancient city of Delphi—specifically, the Temple at Delphi (Tholos). This Temple was known as the “supreme oracle site of the ancient Mediterranean world.” I take my inspiration from the oracles at Delphi (the Pythia) and their ability to peer into the future. Quite frankly, I think virtual assistance is part of the future for many ‘solopreneurs’. You're reading this … perhaps my namesake is already working! Now, help me help you make your future come to be. Drop me a line, or let's talk about how I can combine virtual assistance with personal assistance.
Here's the thing about my company and about me: I am passionate about helping others free up time to do what's important to them, and to enjoy life. I will take care of the details.
Because I'm interested in clients in the entertainment industry, perhaps I might best be called a Virtual Personal Assistant (VPA). Whether VA or VPA, I operate my own business, using state of the art hardware and software. I provide expert support. VA's offer a selection of more specialized skills, and in my case they include document and word processing, presentations, website maintenance, training and events planning. Soon, I'll add shopping cart support using the 1ShoppingCart system. In addition to having been a successful executive assistant, by the time I created Delphian I had several years of corporate experience, plus some not-for-profit stints–all of it acquired in various industries. I also brought to Delphian several years of teaching (in the classroom and elsewhere), and some solid communications skills.
For potential entertainment-based clients: my sister has pursued modeling and acting most of her life. She got me interested in the industry, got me to try my hand out a few times as an Extra, and kept me interested.
